Daytrips from Corvallis
ok, this list is clearly more than ten daytrips, and arguably some of these would be more convenient as an overnight trip - there is just a lot of interesting stuff in this area. For a true Top 10 list, I'll work on moving to a place with less awesome stuff to do nearby, but I make no promises.
Here is the list - and of course, any of these make could make a good choice for a family "adventure" session.
A Short Drive
Hike up Dimple Hill
Visit the botanical island that is Mary's Peak
Pick blueberries on Kiger Island (Corvallis)
Attend an event with the lambs at the Iron Water Ranch (Albany)
Split a sweet roll and play some yard games at Hiatt Farm (Philomath)
Pick some spring flowers or take a fall hayride at Davis Family Farm
Pick some blueberries, strawberries, flowers, vegetables or lavender!
A Little Bit Further Out (an hour...more and less)
Pick some flowers and take in a summer concert at County Line Flowers (Harrisburg)
Enjoy a Goat Happy Hour at No Regrets Farm and Sanctuary (Monroe)
Walk the orchard and see the turbines at the Thomspon's Mills Heritage Site (Shedd, OR)
Browse the crafts and foods maybe pet some animals at a farm store here, here, or here
Feed the baby lambs Leaping Lambs Farmstay (Alsea)
Take an Herb Tour at The Thyme Garden (Alsea)
Watch the Steelhead spawn at the hatchery and have a picnic along the Alsea River (Alsea)
Ride the Carousel at Roaring Rapid Pizza Company (Eugene)
Visit the owls at the Cascades Raptor Center (Eugene)
Explore the exhibits at the Science Center (Eugene)
Walk the underwater corridor at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (Newport)
Walk out to Castle Rock at low tide (Seal Rock)
Poke into the tidepools and watch the sunset from Driftwood Beach (Seal Rock)
Hike out to the end of God's Thumb on the Oregon coast (Lincoln City)
Duck behind a waterfall at Silver Falls State Park (Salem...sort of)
